Damsel Elysium
Damsel Elysium is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, experimental sound, visual & performance artist based in the U.K. Having previously been hailed by Vogue as “London’s most stylish experimental sound artist” and having featured in the recent FKA Twigs Tiny Desk session, Damsel is an emerging avant garde artist not to be ignored. Damsel utilises double bass, violin, piano and original field recordings to explore alternative communication and connections with physical spaces and nature. Their aim is to establish an expressive world that speech or writing could never transmute, performing audio-visual stories in Southbank Centre, Tate Modern, V&A Museum, and Union Chapel.
They have collaborated with FKA Twigs, Celeste, CKTRL, Matt Maltese, and the London Contemporary Orchestra and has been commissioned for Simone Rocha, IITTALA, Vogue x Gucci and Byredo. They have also composed for film, Grace (2024) being selected for Sundance Film Festival.
