PHO

PHO is a DJ and musical producer from Bogotá, Colombia, that has been involved in the music industry since 2003.

As a producer and remixer he has worked with artists such as Natalia Lafourcade, DJ Shadow, Little Dragon, Portugal The Man, among others. 

As a DJ, PHO’s foundation lies in Turntablism and Scratching. His control of this technique on the Wheels of Steel earned him a spot as a two-time Red Bull Thre3style world finalist. These two titles ranked him between the top 40 best turntablist DJs in the world in Tokyo, Japan in the acclaimed project I Scratch Tokyo, 2015.

In 2016, PHO became a product specialist for the world-famous Japanese DJ brand Pioneer DJ and has helped with the design of new products since then. In 2017, he earned the title of Ableton Certified Trainer, a title that fosters a special working relationship with the famous German brand of music production software. 2018 signals the birth of his “Conductive Music” project, in which he begins creating music through elements that conduct energy.

In 2019, PHO is invited to the summit “Playlist Retreat” at the house of the legendary DJ, Jazzy Jeff in Delaware, U.S.A. In this event PHO shares experiences with big names in the DJ and production industry, like De La Soul, Questlove, DJ Premier, A-Trak, among others.

Nowadays, PHO is teaching his knowledge in Music Production and DJ Techniques at theTurntable DJ Academy in Dubai, U.A.E., while continuing to be involved in differentart projects that create ideas and disruption.
