Leo Major

Leo is a composer, recordist, saxophonist and environmentalist based in Brooklyn, NY. He is the Events Assistant at EarthSonic, where he focuses on coordinating the Monthly Climate Drop-in series.

He holds a dual background studying music composition at the Los Angeles Philharmonic Composer Fellowship Program and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Brown University. He currently splits his time between writing digital chamber music and exploring critical justice-focused perspectives on environmental issues. He is curious about the ways that musical and artistic creativity frame our conceptions of and feelings towards these issues.
